Sprouter’s Founder and CEO Daniel Everist Shares Lessons From His Journey

Technology has changed virtually all aspects of life in the past few years. Today, more and more people are turning to careers in the digital space and making a killing. One such person is Daniel Everist, the founder and CEO of Sprouter, an end-to-end marketing and branding company. Daniel and his team spend their time helping clients develop a digital footprint, manage their social media campaigns, and organically grow their following. Since its launch, the company has helped multiple businesses establish their authority, grow their market share, and become recognized industry leaders. In the process, Daniel’s life has changed, and he has achieved more than he ever imagined.

The idea to create Sprouter began in 2017 when Daniel was still a college student. Initially, the idea was to create a dorm room app that allowed college students to connect. However, the dream expanded when Daniel realized there was a growing demand for branding and revolutionary marketing strategies. In his sophomore year, he dropped out of college to dedicate more time to growing his app. To many, the idea that he could forego a college degree to build an app seemed ludicrous. However, Daniel was determined.

Determined to make something of himself, he ignored his critics. Despite being urged to be realistic by well-meaning friends and loved ones, he stuck to his passion and put in the work. That effort and dedication paid off during the pandemic when other businesses were closing down. Instead of scaling down, Daniel observed the market and discovered a growing need for QR codes, particularly in the hospitality industry. With many venues closed, customers used the codes to order from restaurants, which created a demand for these services from the business owners.

At the height of the pandemic, Daniel pivoted and launched Sprouter Studios, the second division of his company. This branch is an all-around promotional powerhouse offering state-of-the-art QR code displays, content creation through videography, photography, and digital designs and animation. Here, Daniel and his team help clients craft a compelling narrative and get it out to their consumers, effectively connecting with them at an emotional level with less media. With so much competition everywhere, this strategy has been effective in promoting brands and helping them win.

Besides being a visionary and a risk-taker, Daniel is also big on connection and relationships. For him, being a CEO is not just about status and prestige; it’s about growing teams and using feedback to improve his services. Daniel values user feedback and utilizes it to provide his clients with the best user experience. “I am a very hands-on CEO,” he says. This is the same commitment he brings to his friendships and relationships in his inner circle.

When he’s not working on his client’s projects, Daniel spends his time traveling around the world with his friends. Some places he has visited include India, Dubai, and UAE. Daniel has lived in cities like Minneapolis, Miami, LA, and Scottsdale with his three best friends who he considers more like brothers than business partners. “People call us the modern-day ‘Entourage’,” he adds.
