Agriculture Content Creator Noah Is Helping Educate the Industry

Most of the world is shifting towards the tertiary sector and the service economy, and industries like banking, finance, and real estate have become core areas of economic growth. And while all that may be true, it’s also a fact that the primary sector, which is agriculture, still holds an extremely important and critical position in keeping a country’s economy healthy. Agriculture content creator Noah Young is educating the community around him with knowledge about the agricultural industry.

Noah got his bachelor’s degree in agribusiness from the University of Nebraska, Kearney, in 2018. Unlike many other people in the agriculture space, Noah wasn’t really brought up on a farm doing chores. From early on, Noah was fascinated with farming and agriculture and decided to make this his career. Things had started to go in this direction for Noah when he got his first job at the age of 10, helping a farmer lay out irrigation pipes and building a fence for his cows.

When it came to farming, Noah started to identify faults and errors in conventional farming techniques. Noah realized that you needed hundreds of acres of land, large equipment, and years of experience. All this meant you needed a healthy amount of money to start. Noah heightened his knowledge in the area after taking a job for an agriculture-related company, where he learned a lot about marketing and the importance of soil health.

The biggest change in Noah’s life was when he had to work from home during the pandemic. During this time, he started to record his digital journey related to the agriculture industry on Instagram and later TikTok. What started off as a digital diary project soon blew up because Noah realized people were not only following him for his comedy but also asking questions about his experience.

Noah was bombarded with questions about the agricultural industry, and he was learning as he went. Animal husbandry, growing your own food during the pandemic, and generally talking about agriculture-related topics were some things Noah started to share with his followers.

As a result of his content, Noah now has an incredible following of more than 725K followers on TikTok and another 285K on Instagram. Noah continues to engage with his audience on both platforms by answering questions and frequently giving tips and tricks that help beginners feel confident enough to start for themselves. Noah also mentions that to grow in this field, he picked up video editing skills and further courses in agriculture, all of which he taught himself.

Noah likes to teach people about general agricultural facts as well. Sharing information about food labels and what some of the chemicals and preservatives on there mean.

When talking about wisdom, Noah mentions that we need to understand everyone has unique opportunities and challenges they face when starting out. It’s okay to start small and make mistakes. The toughest part of farming is taking the first step. Planting the first seed and raising your first animal. Everything after that is valuable lessons learned. Noah says he wants to run a demonstration farm where everyone can come and experience farming up close.

Noah wants to continue educating more people and providing them with classes and tips through social media, and he wants to see more people start their own gardens and farms. He also looks forward to increasing the amount of land he has to one day achieve his dream of raising bison on the Nebraska prairie.
